ICATT Career
Academy Program Policy Manual
Introduction
The current ICATT Career Academy Policy Manual addresses items that are required by career academy regulatory agencies. It is anticipated that the ICATT Career Academy Policy Manual is a living document that will continue to be updated and upgraded over time as circumstances change.
Section I
Equity & Inclusion Policy
ICATT welcomes all students and is committed to their success. As students, employees, and the community, we pledge to work towards social action and dismantling structural racism. Regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, immigrant status or disability, we celebrate, support, and embrace learners of diverse communities.
ICATT is intentional about fostering an environment that is safe and welcoming to all. Whether you are a student, family or friend of a student, employee or just visiting us, we want to make sure that we are serving you in an equitable fashion.
Section 2
Tuition Refund Policy
Students who provide written notice of cancellation within three days (excluding Saturday, Sunday, and federal and state holidays) of paying tuition and/or the payment processing fee, but before the first class, are entitled to a refund of all monies paid, excluding the nonrefundable application fee.
Section 3
Non-Discrimation Policy
ICATT is committed to a policy of nondiscrimination in employment and education opportunity. No person shall be discriminated against in the terms and conditions of employment, personnel practices, or access to and participation in, programs, services, and activities with regard to race, sex, color, creed, religion, age, national origin, disability, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, or sexual orientation.
Harassment of an individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color, creed, religion, age, national origin, disability, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, or sexual orientation, has no place in a learning or work environment and is prohibited. Sexual violence has no place in a learning or work environment. Further, ICATT shall work to eliminate violence in all its forms.
Lack of English skills will not be a barrier to admission or participation. In order to eliminate barriers we take appropriate measures to assess each student’s ability to participate and benefit through placement testing and counseling. Based on the assessment and counseling, students are then provided with a referral to community services to be better prepared for successful participation.
Section 4
Complaint and Grievance Process
ICATT seeks to achieve and maintain good employee relations and harmonious working conditions. To attain such goals, ICATT shall resolve grievances at the lowest level possible and respond promptly. The grievance process provides the mechanism for handling employee complaints regarding conditions of work, interpretation of policies and procedures, disciplinary actions or any other personnel matter related to their employment.
A participant who desires to file a formal grievance about a problem or concern shall complete the Statement of Grievance and submit it to the ICATT Human Resource Officer. A grievance is a written request for the resolution of an issue related to unfair treatment, discrimation or an alleged violation of state or federal law. A participant must file a grievance within twenty (20) working days from the date of the situation that created the concern.
Upon receipt of the Statement of Grievance, the HR officer addressing the grievance has ten (10) working days to virtually meet with the participant to discuss the grievance. After virtually meeting with the participant, the HR officer addressing the grievance has ten (10) working days to gather data, conduct an investigation, determine the facts, consult with ICATT senior leadership, render a decision, virtually meet with the participant to present the resolution, if accepted. If the first decision is not accepted, repeat the process for negotiation and resolution.
Section 5
ICATT accessibility policy
ICATT’s mission is to provide universal access to our training programs. We are committed to maintaining access to our website and mobile applications to all of our learners, including those with disabilities.
Accessibility has been important to ICATT. To achieve our goal of accessibility for all Learners, we are committed to the following:
- ICATT strives to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (“WCAG”) 2.1 AA published by World Wide Web Consortium.
- All of our course lecture videos offer closed captioning. We strive for accuracy and completeness. Learners may flag issues while watching lecture videos and are encouraged to submit support tickets for content that is not captioned appropriately and we will address the matter promptly.
- ICATT’s videos are available to Learners at any time which allows Learners to get a head start on the training..
- An independent accessibility consultant periodically reviews our platform. Potential accessibility issues are identified so that ICATT can address such issues and take any remedial actions deemed necessary.
- ICATT developers engage in training and projects relating to accessibility that both educate and improve the accessibility of our products as they are being developed.
- ICATT has published accessibility guidelines for content providers and contractually requires that content providers comply with their independent obligations under applicable accessibility laws.
- ICATT manages an email alias where incoming accessibility support tickets from Learners are addressed.
- The Learner Help Center has resources for Learners with disabilities
For questions of requests about the accessibility of our site and platform, you can reach out to ICATT using the Contact Us.

It is illegal to discriminate against someone (applicant or employee) because of that person's race, color, religion, sex (including gender identity, sexual orientation, and pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information. It is also illegal to retaliate against a person because he or she complained about discrimination, filed a charge of discrimination, or participated in an employment discrimination investigation or lawsuit.
