Aspiring Executive Leader Program (Leading Self, Teams & Organizations)

Description: 

Leaders are constantly challenged by the need to make difficult decisions daily and challenge the status quo. This requires courage. With strategic thinking, leaders courageously keep an eye out for new ways to contribute and bring about organizational success.

This competency-based leadership program is designed to bridge the developmental gap between the experienced mid-career leadership development program and executive leadership development program.

This course focuses on Leading Change through Vision, Creativity & Innovation, and Leadership Mindset. Its secondary focus is on Leading People and Developing Others. 

Participants will have the opportunity to take self-assessments to better understand their leadership style and how they navigate change. Finally, participants will apply their knowledge to develop strategies in their Individual Development Plans (IDPs). 

This course features networking and experiential learning opportunities, as well as a team project.

Target Audience: Employees in job grades GS-13 and GS-14

Format: Blended (In-person and Online)

Duration: 9 Months

Contact Hours: 144 hours (2 days per month)

Facilitation Methods This course will make use of a variety of facilitation techniques to foster active learning and ensure high levels of class participation. Case studies, readings, team projects, opportunity to take various assessments, and coaching/feedback will all be utilized to contribute to a rich learning experience.
